Hunter&Co partners at Africa Down Under featured in the media

It is great to see two delegations hosted by Hunter&Co at Africa Down Under in September featuring in the media recently. Both Namibia and Rwanda can contribute to the global clean energy transition, and would like to work with Australian partners to achieve this outcome.

The Australian Newspaper reported that whilst Namibia is well known for its extraordinary green hydrogen potential, it remains under explored. There remains a vast potential for exploration of the full suite of battery minerals including lithium, as well as rare earths. The recent visit of Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) CEO Nangula Nelulu Uaandja to Australia has certainly captured the attention. (see article - The Australian)

With Qantas now set to resume direct flights between Perth and Johannesburg (effectively halving the travel time between Perth and Windhoek), there has never been a more direct path for engagement between Australia and Namibia!

Paydirt Media Pty Ltd reported on Rwanda Mines, Petroleum, and Gas Board (RMB) CEO Amb. Yamina Karitanyi's speech at African Down Under. Amb Karitanyi announced that Rwanda has extended an “open invitation” to Australian juniors to join the country’s exploration sector. “Rwanda is highly prospective in the minerals necessary to achieve the transition to clean energy,” Karitanyi said. (see article - Australia's Paydirt). Cameron England also reported on Rwanda’s “world-class nickel deposits” and high prospectivity for lithium and rare earths. (see article - NSW Australian).

There is an urgent need for collaboration to achieve the clean energy transition. Working together, we can accelerate this necessary process.
